 SOURDOUGH BREAD & CRUMPET CLASS

Description

Tim and Cree bake about 40 sourdough loaves every week and have been teaching sourdough for a few years now. We invite you to participate in a half day of sourdough learning - focusing on dough preparation, fermentation, proving and shaping. We will run you through starter and levain management and you will leave us with a freshly baked loaf of bread and a sourdough starter taken from our 14 year old one.  

The recipes for the day will include an everyday delicious sourdough loaf and crumpets and you will get to eat both for a tasty lunch time snack. 

You can also add on an equipment pack which includes a Loyal brand banneton proofing basket (shape of your choice), plastic scraper, metal Loyal dough shaper and lame  - all for $50.  If you prefer, these items can be purchased separately on the day at their RRP. 

 

Classes are taught in our workshop space overlooking our orchard on our 100 acre regenerative farm. Included in the day is tea and coffee, bread and crumpet tastings, and if weather permits a tour of our organically managed garden.
